VOLCAN provides the general public with views of some of DOST-PHIVOLCS' real-time monitoring data for the purpose of basic information and awareness of the current status of active volcanoes. This VOLCAN page includes automated snapshots of: (1) Internet Protocol (IP) camera views sampled every minute from representative sites; (2) seismic record, including volcanic earthquake picks, sampled every hour from representative sites, and; (3) real-time seismic amplitude measurements or RSAM from the same representative sites, which aim to gauge a localized portion of seismic energy release from the volcano.
Disclaimer: Datasets featured in this VOLCAN page cannot be used for validly interpreting the current behavior or forecasting future unrest behavior of the volcano independently of DOST-PHIVOLCS' scientific evaluation.
